Can companies withstand the impact of the next terrorist attack?

Chesham, Bucks, 27th February 2006, Pentagon Protection Plc, the global specialist leader in performance window film protection expressed severe concerns that companies are still not taking terrorist bombings seriously. Recommendations from the home office to install safety film to maximise
resilience for future attacks is still being ignored.

Recent events have proved that terrorists will attack anywhere. Businesses have a responsibility to their staff and premises to ensure that security is a priority within their organisations and that they are protected against the likely impact of a terrorist attack. An explosion can within seconds see
windows and equipment destroyed and people injured by the main cause of flying glass.

By fitting the Pentagon Elite Flexible Anchoring and the Select Metal Anchoring systems to filmed glazing, it holds the shattered glass in place, thus saving lives, preventing injury and protecting property.

Pentagon Protection Plc were one of the first companies to successfully undertake bomb blast testing to explode loads of 8.3psi, almost double the blast loading of any other testing carried out to date to meet the latest criteria set in International Standard for glass in building explosion resistant security glazing. Results showed that the Pentagon Select Metal and Elite flexible anchoring systems in conjunction with Pentagon's FT800 window film retained 95% of all glass fragments.
