CCTV plug and play with Q-Vision

New this month from Challenger is Q-vision, a simple plug and play digital CCTV system. It benefits from using large hard drives for recording instead of constantly changing video tapes.

Supplied as a complete solution, Q-vision CCTV systems comprise cameras with cable, connectors and a power supply unit, to complement the range of digital video recorders with leads and adaptors for use with either standard TV or CCTV monitors.

There are a number of camera and digital recorder options that can be chosen according to the application. A colour camera is available for internal use. For external use, a choice of three cameras is available, covering standard range, long range and a vandal resistant dome unit – all offering colour viewing during daylight and switching to monochrome for enhanced night time viewing with the added assistance of infrared illuminators.

The digital video recorders in the package start with an intro 4 channel unit with 120Gb hard drive. The range also includes 4, 8 and 16 channel units with 120 or 250 hard drives, all of which can be viewed remotely over the internet. Additionally, the 8 and 16 channel units are fitted with CD writers for backing up recordings, also useful for passing onto third parties such as the police.

As a simply packaged solution, Q-vision CCTV systems have a remarkably advanced specification and their appeal will be enhanced through their remote viewing capability over the internet using broadband connection.
