Another superb performance from Ardex Industrial Floor System

With an excellent reputation for outstanding product ranges and superb customer support, it is no surprise that the UK’s leading flooring contractors continue to team up with ARDEX UK as their preferred supplier for fast track industrial flooring systems.

Flo-Dek (UK) Limited, recognised specialists within the screeding and resin flooring industry and regular applicators of ARDEX systems, were commissioned by Huyck (UK) Limited to refurbish the factory floor area at their UK headquarters in Kent. Huyck are a subsidiary of Xerium Inc., world leaders in the supply and manufacture of clothing and roll covers, and wanted to change their 1600m2 factory from a manufacturing site to a storage facility, so it was vital that a durable and low maintenance floor surface was installed.

Extensively proven throughout many previous installations by delivering a cost efficient and fast track solution, Flo-Dek had no hesitation in specifying ARDEX SD-T B as the ideal product for the floor refurbishment.
The original factory floor had been modified to allow heavy machinery within the factory to sit within trenches which required filling and levelling prior to the whole area being primed with ARDEX R 3 E Solvent Free Epoxy Primer before receipt of a 10mm application of ARDEX SD-T B base mix. ARDEX SD-T B has built-in ARDEX ‘Rapidry Formula’ technology, which meant the new floor surface dried and hardened in a matter of hours, helping to reduce valuable downtime and resulting in the necessary flat and hard wearing finish.
