Emergency First Response at the Safety and Health Expo 2006

Emergency First Response will be exhibiting at the Safety and Health Expo 2006. Approved by the Health and Safety Executive (GB) for training in first aid for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, Emergency First Response also offers an appointed persons fist aid course as well as a Care for Children course. The Emergency First Response system of first aid training is simple and has proven educational validity. All courses are supported by cutting edge student and instructor materials including manuals and DVDs. An integral part of Emergency First Response courses is training in the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). AEDs greatly increase a cardiac arrest patient’s chances of a positive outcome and can be used by anyone appropriately trained.

Emergency First Response is an international organisation dedicated to the training of lay rescuers in primary care (CPR) and secondary care (first aid) skills. Based on internationally recognised medical guidelines produced from a consensus view of practising professionals in the emergency field, namely the Basic Life Support (BLS) Working Group of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) the course content is derived from the Guidelines 2005 for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care, International Consensus on Science.
