HQ of Britannia Luxury Coaches extended with help from Toshiba
Digital Inverter Split systems
Economical and effective heating and cooling were an
essential requirement of Britannia Luxury Coaches in
planning an extension to the Dover-based headquarters of
this leading specialist transport provider. Toshiba’s
latest Digital Inverter Split system air conditioning,
fitted by A1 Refrigeration and Air Conditioning of
Margate, operates in heat pump mode to provide both
cooling in summer and heating in winter utilising R410A
refrigerant and inverter technology to ensure constant
comfort levels. The equipment was supplied by the
Swanley branch of HRP Ltd, wholesale distributors for
Toshiba and Carrier ranges.
An upper floor extension to the existing office unit, on
an industrial estate that provides parking for its fleet
of coaches, has created five new offices in a
restructured building layout. The 50 metre pipe run
capability of the two Digital inverter systems enabled
the units to be sited below the new extension outside in
the car parking area. By routing the pipe work through
the floor whilst the building work was ongoing the
installers were able to use gravity drains instead of
condensate pumps.
Inside the offices, the systems have been installed as
twin Split systems using slim-line high wall units. The
very low sound levels featured within these systems
makes them ideal for quiet private office applications.
