Monodraught Wins Major Awards at Interbuild

Monodraught were delighted to win two of the major Awards at the Interbuild Exhibition held at the end of April. The judging panel, which included David Hughes, President Elect of CIBSE, Ruth Slavid, Editor of AJ Specification, and Terry Smith, Editor of Professional Builder said, that at this year’s Interbuild Show, they were looking for innovative products that contributed to the environment and were seen to be setting new standards in energy saving and in green environmental engineering.

They decided that the Sola-Vent should win the Best Interior Product of the Show Award and the judges said, “This well thought out product further develops the company's SunPipe technology. It puts together in one good-looking element all the items needed for lighting and ventilation of a bathroom, simplifying the ventilation and specification process."

Two different sized Sola-Vents are available, one with the 230mm diameter SunPipe and one with the 300mm diameter SunPipe. There are also two types of ceiling fascia available.

Monodraught also won the Best Building Services Product of the Show Award for their Sola-Boost system. This particular product was launched at Nottingham University last December and is the first product of its kind to give solar powered, fan driven input air, which is designed to complement the company’s Windcatcher range. The judges said, “"Although simple in concept, this submission demonstrates that by employing new technologies with innovation, a product can be developed that can be applied either commercially or domestically. It has the advantage of being able to respond directly to weather conditions and to be self powered by solar energy."

Monodraught have been exhibiting at Interbuild Shows for more than 30 years and have always used Interbuild to launch the company’s new products but this is the first time that they have been recognised with these prestigious Interbuild Awards. More information can be found on our website.
