New Franke HQ has everything – including the kitchen sink

Leading workplace environment specialist The TSK Group has completed work at the new UK headquarters of Franke – the world’s largest kitchen sink manufacturer. The new environment in the Manchester International Office Centre, Styal Road, Manchester, will perform a key role in the expansion of the business into kitchen appliances, which began in January.

John Brindle, Financial Director at Franke UK explained:
“From the beginning of this year, we have moved into supplying kitchen appliances such as cookers, hobs and hoods – all built in our own factories – as well as the sinks and taps we are renowned for. In order to accommodate this expansion, we needed more space for our growing team, as well as our growing product range.”

“When TSK began work, all we had was four square walls, but they have taken that and created an impressive office space that fulfils all of our objectives.” He added.

The multi-faceted environment combines a range of work settings for Franke staff with product experience areas and cutting-edge client meeting facilities. Although the new headquarters needed to fulfil a broad range of purposes, TSK has developed a consistent and open design to avoid fragmentation of the environment.

Joint Managing Director at TSK, Andrew Burns, commented:
“The brief from Franke was unique in that we needed to incorporate their products into the environment, which is not a common requirement in office spaces. However, any well-designed workplace provides a physical representation of a brand, so it was a natural progression to extend this when developing the product showcase areas.”
