Autodesk - Newsflash – Newcastle-upon-Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Discovers the Benefits of AutoCAD Architecture

The Estates Department of Newcastle-upon-Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has just invested in AutoCAD Architecture (formerly known as Autodesk Architectural Desktop) in order to work faster and more effectively. The CAD team has upgraded its existing AutoCAD 2006 licences combined with a subscription and will be using the software for its work on new building schemes and refurbishments.
“We are predicting big efficiencies in the time-heavy process of making design changes and also on repetitive work. By the very nature of hospital design, we use many standard fittings and by creating a library of objects such as doors, walls and windows we believe we can cut at least one third of our design time,” says Lee Dodsworth, CAD Manager.
The Newcastle-upon-Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will be working with Autodesk reseller partner NTC MicroCAD on the installation and configuration of AutoCAD Architecture and training.
