Metro Design Consultants - Metro gain award for excellence in social housing design

The work of Daniel Taylor, founder and managing director of the design and build company, Metro Design Consultants has been recognised by the Federation of Black Housing Organisation FBHO 2007 Awards, Celebrating Excellence in Diversity. Metro was presented with the Outstanding Black and Minority Ethnic Social Housing (BME) Contractor, Architect and Consultant Award on 21 March 2007.
The Award recognises those who have used their professional skills to make the greatest contribution to the outstanding services of the Social Housing Sector, and who are using excellence, creativity and inspiration to maximise the resources available. The Award also demonstrates that Metro is an ambassador for their profession and demonstrates evidence of customer fulfilment.
The Excellence in Diversity Awards was open to all organisations, companies and individuals in the United Kingdom working in the provision of social housing. The awards help identify and provide vital areas of outstanding quality and areas in need of improvements.
Metro a design and build company, has been working with Ujima, one of the largest black housing associations in Europe, to create an inspirational space for employees and visitors to come and discuss any issues or concerns they might have. Metro has transformed the external and internal image of the building, which now looks like a professional and smart business and advice centre.
