Surface View and V&A images are proud to announce the launch of a new bespoke mural collection
Surface View is a new company that is
providing access to some of the most exciting imagery available,
creating high quality bespoke murals to suit any environment.
The first collection is from the Victoria and Albert Museum,
widely recognised as the world's greatest museum of art and
design. Surface View has digitally re-mastered over 140 images
from architecture and classic masters to botanics and landscapes
from the V&A’s Collections. High resolution digital files for
each image allow for exciting use of crops and enlargements. A
William Morris wallpaper can be transformed into a contemporary
interior statement or, a 19th century Qing Dynasty marriage robe
can be cropped to create a richly coloured wall mural.
Quote from V&A Images "V&A Images are delighted to be working
together with Surface View, providing high quality images from
the Victoria and Albert Museum. These inspired murals offer a
fabulous opportunity to display a range of images from our
collection in a unique and eye-catching manner. With the
combined resource of the V&A and Surface View’s long-standing
printing expertise, we hope that your wall will become the
talking point of your work or living space."
Quote from Michael Ayerst, managing director of Surface View,
"When I first thought of applying technology to world recognised
images of true quality I knew that the V&A Collection would be
an outstanding source, and really show the true potential of
imagery in interiors. The images can be used just like murals,
so offices as well as homes can use them to great effect. They
really look stunning. We can also adapt the images to suit
people's needs, changing background colours or cropping the
shots. The V&A’s images look incredible applied in this way.
It's been a great opportunity and we enjoy working with the V&A,
making these images available to the public in this format for
the first time."
