Union Square’s knowledge management software ‘Workspace’ will control and centralise document management
QMP, whose Head Office is in Northampton,
has placed an order for ‘Workspace’, a knowledge management
system from construction IT specialist, Union Square Software.
The new software will assist the company to centralise its
document management processes in order to improve efficient
across the business.
Established in 1974, the company’s portfolio of clients has
grown to include a broad range of prestigious clients both
nationally and locally, and before other consultancies
amalgamated was the 12th largest genuinely multi-disciplinary
practice in the country.
The introduction of Workspace will enable QMP to store all
internal documents within one central web-based portal. This
will not only significantly reduce the organisation’s
paper-based correspondence but also ensure a more coherent
manner of working across the board with Workspace’s incorporated
search engine capabilities allowing users to retrieve required
documents more efficiently.
Workspace has been designed to assist construction practices
improve their document and email management with all information
for each project accessible under a single file, making
retrieving a much simpler process. The time saving QMP will
achieve is quite considerable and the speed and efficient access
to documentation will contribute to an improved client service.
There is no extensive staff training the system being very
user friendly.
Implementation of Workspace has commenced with the system
expected to ‘go live’ in early June.
Lesley Rash QMP’s co-ordinator comments that “Our working
relationship with Union Square has been both positive and
reassuring. Implementation has commenced and we are confident
that the team will complete on time and within budget.”
