Decra - DECRA’S NEW COMPENDIUM HAS A HEART OF STEEL

Decra has relaunched its corporate compendium and specification manual to feature the latest company developments including its becoming the first roofing systems supplier in the UK to win Secured By Design accreditation.
The glossy 148-page compendium comprises information on the extensive range of Decra lightweight and low-maintenance steel tiles including the latest additions – the Elegance tile in satin and high-gloss finishes instead of the traditional Decra granular finish.
In addition, the compendium features some new recruits that will come on board later this year (the company’s 30th in the UK) – pioneering cool- and dry-roof versions of the Elegance tile and a Mediterranean–style Roman tile.
Products aside, the new manual also advises on Decra’s exclusive specification and support packages and guarantees, technical support services, case studies in the housebuilding, local authority and retail sectors, estimating and ordering, and site work.
An extensive design and installation guide advises on considerations for new-build and refurbishment projects, flat to pitched roof conversions, exposure and wind loading, low-pitched roofs, specification writing, tile bonding options, underlays and breather membranes. Tile battens and the control of condensation.
It also advises on design and installation detailing for eaves, tile ventilators, verges/gables, abutments, ventilated, unventilated and gas flue ridges and hips, valleys, Velux windows, vertical tiling, mansards and changes in pitch, and rainwater systems.
UK sales and marketing manager Graham Kent-Jackson said: “We believe this is one of the most comprehensive manuals of its kind. Practically everything an architect or contractor could wish to know without referring to our technical department is contained within it.”
