Promotions at Briggs & Forrester

Briggs & Forrester are delighted to announce five promotions, all taking effect from 1st January 2007, within their Engineering Services division.
Ian Lawrence has been promoted to Regional Operations Director, responsible for our Northampton based projects. Ian is an experienced engineer and manager who began his career in building services as an apprentice in 1979 and joined Briggs & Forrester as a Project Manager when our Hitchin office was opened in 1989. He was promoted to Contracts Manager in October 2004 and then to Regional Operations Manager in 2006.
Peter Talbot has been promoted to Regional Director responsible for projects in Eastern England. Peter began his career in building services as an electrical apprentice in 1966. He joined Briggs & Forrester as an Electrical Contract Engineer in 2000. He was promoted to Contracts Manager in February 2004 and to Regional Operations Manager.
Two of our Senior M & E Designers, Steve Cooke and Danielle Simms have been promoted to the positions of Principal Design Engineers.
Steve Cooke became an apprentice electrical engineer in 1988 and joined Briggs & Forrester in March 2001 as an Electrical Engineer. He was promoted to Senior Design Engineer in 2005. Steve has vast experience in all aspects of Electrical Engineering in the Education, Healthcare and Defence sectors.
Danielle Simms joined Briggs & Forrester as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in 2001 having gained over 10 years experience in a wide range of building services installations. Since joining Briggs and Forrester, Danielle has successfully completed a number of our major projects.
Finally, Gary Miller has been promoted to the position of Design Director. With over 20 years experience in the design, construction and management of a wide range of building service installations including health, motor industry, commercial, pharmaceutical and industrial works, Gary has developed the companies design capabilities to their current successful level.
Paul Burton, Managing Director said, “We have further strengthened our management team as part of our programme of continued development and I wish Ian, Peter, Steve, Danielle & Gary every success in their new positions”.
