ISG Jackson - Secures £7.6 million Royston Production Facility Deal

ISG Jackson has secured a £7.6 million project to construct a new production facility and technology building for speciality chemicals company, Johnson Matthey. The new 7,000 sq m production facility will provide the company with enhanced manufacturing capabilities at its existing production site in Royston, Hertfordshire.
The steel frame and steel clad, four-storey facility, will feature three floors of office accommodation, a large full height production area and a fourth-storey plant room, comprising the mechanical & electrical services for the building. Offices will be constructed along two sides of the unit and fitted out to a high standard, with raised access floors and suspended ceilings, with ISG Jackson constructing a range of welfare and changing facilities for staff, as well as installing both a passenger and a goods lift.
The central open plan production area will house storage and racking areas and ISG Jackson will construct a series of galvanised mezzanine floor structures above this space to provide essential access for production staff. Externally, the contractor will form a new car park and carry out a range of hard and soft landscaping finishes and erect acoustic fencing surrounding the new facility. The project is scheduled for completion by October 2007.
