ISG Totty - Building Nicks Barnsley Community Police Station

ISG Totty Building is underway with a £670K project to build a pioneering new Community Police Station in Kendray, Barnsley for South Yorkshire Police. The next generation community station is the first of its kind in the area and is being built under a new initiative to make local communities safer, with the expectation of rolling out this development programme across the entire South Yorkshire region.
The two-storey, traditionally constructed facility has been designed to blend into its residential surroundings, and will house approximately 50 staff, who will take responsibility for policing Kendray and nearby Worsborough. The ground floor of the new station will feature a large reception area, interview rooms, offices, briefing rooms, a kitchen and dining area and male and female changing areas with associated locker rooms.
A lift installation provides access to the first floor, which is given over to administrative functions, with offices and a rest room. Externally, ISG Totty Building will carry out a range of hard and soft landscaping finishes and create a car park for visitors and police vehicles. The project is scheduled for completion in the Spring.
