Videx Security Limited - New Dual-Tech Keypad and Proximity Reader

Videx Security has introduced an integrated Dual-Tech combined keypad and proximity reader (EX5P). Designed to provide higher levels of access control security, Dual-Tech can be set up so that both PIN code and proximity fob have to be used to gain access. Alternatively, just one or the other can be used adding further flexibility.
Up to 99 PIN codes and proximity fobs can be programmed into EX5P Dual-Tech. The IP65 rated keypad can be located outside the entrance to allow users to gain access or it can be used as a controller positioned in a secure location with a separate external reader outside the secure entrance.
The EX5P features two push-to-exit inputs and two dry contact lock release outputs which can be timed from 1-99 seconds. A data BUS is also available for high security applications where the lock release relay needs to be in a secure location.
The EX5P is available in surface or flush mount versions and the blue back-lit keys are offered in either metal or polycarbonate. Three LEDs are also featured as well as ‘reassurance tones’ for better interaction with the user. For the visually impaired, a ‘pip’ on the number 5 key provides guidance when entering PIN codes.
With a choice of chrome, white, grey and plastic finished versions, Dual-Tech can be specified to suit all types of entrances. Its easy installation will also appeal to specifiers.
