Technical information on
popular BoxBolt steelwork cavity fixings is now
available at the touch of a button from connection
specialists Access Technologies Ltd. The company has
designed a new technical e-flier allowing
architects, specifiers, structural engineers and
contractors to download data instantly via a
specially designed email link.
Part of the company’s range of on-line and
software-based support initiatives for its BeamClamp
fixings, the e-flier provides technical information
on a key strength of the range, BoxBolt cavity
fixings. It covers the key features, benefits and
applications, detailing the types of head available,
from the standard hexagonal head through to a button
head socket, countersunk option and socket head cap
screw. Installation instructions are also included
alongside technical data. It will offer a
click-activated link to the BoxBolt technical
brochure, the full 28 page BeamClamp product
catalogue and the BeamClamp website (www.beamclamp.com).
“This new e-flier provides immediate access to
important technical information for designers and
specifiers” says Access Technologies’ General
Manager, Ian Page. “It will help meet the growing
demand for information from our customers on a
unique product. BoxBolt cavity fixings are the first
hot dip galvanised steelwork expansion bolts on the
market, and continue to bring enormous installation,
durability and corrosion resistance benefits to any
application”.
As the industry standard in steelwork cavity fixings
for civil, structural engineering and general
construction applications, BeamClamp’s BoxBolt range
provide a blind fixing solution for connecting
steelwork into hollow or box sections. They can also
be used where access is only available from one
side, without the need for on-site drilling or
welding use. In those architecturally sensitive
applications where the BoxBolt head is visible, then
the countersunk or button head style offer a neat,
attractive finish, without compromising on the
structural integrity of the connection. Installation
of these new head options is made faster and simpler
with the use of the unique BoxSok tool which
features a specially designed socket to hold the
BoxBolt body in place whilst allowing tightening of
the bolt’s inner socket and fin expansion.
A BoxBolt fixing can be used with rectangular,
square and even circular hollow sections.
Manufactured in M08, M10, M12, M16 and M20 bolt
diameters, BoxBolts are available in a choice of
three lengths for each size to allow for a large
fixing range. This versatility also ensure that the
fixing ranges between size 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 overlap
for application where determining the exact fixing
thickness is difficult, making them especially easy
to work with in contrast to other steel fixings on
the market.
Established in 1995, Access Technologies is staffed
by an experienced team of construction professionals
and chartered engineers, capable of dealing with any
technical enquiry quickly, knowledgeably and
efficiently. The company’s manufacturing and
warehousing facility is located in the West Midlands
area. For more information on the BeamClamp range
