Dimplex - Helps Dune Shoes take a step into the unknown
Dimplex has put its best foot forward with a ‘fast
fit’ air curtain installation at a trendy Dune shoe shop
in South Molton Street, London.
Time and flexibility were of the essence for the
installation as it was during the busy Christmas
shopping season, so the product had to be installed
overnight to allow for normal trading the next day.
Due to the work schedule, inspection access was not
possible prior to installation so the contractor had no
idea until arrival on site for the overnight work what
space - recessed or surface - would be available for the
air curtain. Karen Trewick, marketing communications
manager at Dimplex, explains, “The contractor had one
night to get it right and with no wholesalers open in
case of emergencies, they needed to minimise the risks
by selecting products that are trouble-free to install.”
Dimplex was specified for the air curtains as no other
manufacturer’s product offers the dual flexibility
option of recessed or surface mounting from one single
model. The retail designer had specified the doorway
width and a Dimplex CAB15ER unit was selected to give
the best coverage of the entrance.
Staff at the Dune store are happy with the performance
of the Dimplex air curtain, and the chilly draughts that
had previously been a daily problem are now banished
forever.
All Dimplex air curtain ranges are modular, so multiple
units can be linked together to provide gap-free
coverage over larger doorways for the ultimate in
flexible system design.
