Ashton’s Newest Residential Scheme to Launch Next Month

Ask Life will be launching its first phase of 72 stunning city-style apartments - Liberty at St Petersfield - in the up-and-coming district of Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside next month (October)

The mix of one and two-bedroom apartments will go on sale on Saturday 13th October, with a two-day preview to allow potential buyers the chance to view the plans and prices of the apartments, on Thursday 11th and Friday 12th October, that will be within the ground floor block of the new building on Bentick Street.

The apartments form an integral part of the new £42m urban quarter being developed by Ask Life’s innovative parent company Ask Developments, and the scheme has newly completed public landscaped areas, overlooking striking water fountains.

Ask Life is providing a new way to help first-time buyers purchase a Liberty at St Petersfield apartment by allowing purchasers to pay their deposit by monthly instalments in place of paying the deposit in one lump sum, from the time they exchange to the time the apartment is built.

Says Head of Sales, Sian Pitt: “Many first time buyers pay the £500 reservation fee but then find it difficult to afford the 5% deposit in one lump sum. We are therefore allowing purchasers, if they wish to do so, to pay this as a monthly sum, which on an apartment under £100,000 works out at around £350 a month. This is a lot more manageable for people, particularly those who might be still living at home, and at the same time prepares them for paying a mortgage!”

With prices starting from around £99,950 for a one bedroom apartment - all of which feature fully-fitted luxury bathrooms with ceramic wall and floor tiling and modern contemporary kitchens, complete with stainless steel appliances, the Ask Life team expects demand to be high.

Their first scheme in Urmston, Manchester sold out in under 2 hours, with buyers queuing - some overnight - to purchase one of the apartments within the proposed new shopping centre.

Liberty at St Petersfield apartments will be built in accordance with Ask Life’s quality and attention to detail - and its location offers easy access to the transport links into Manchester city centre and is close to the M60 motorway network and Ashton train station.

A new sales and marketing suite, complete with a show apartment, will be created within the scheme and will be opened early next year. Work on the first phase of the residential development will begin at a similar time, with the second phase expected to start later in 2008.
