ISG Totty has secured its second phase of work under the 'Rotherham Renaissance' redevelopment of the south-Yorkshire town, with a negotiated £7.6 million mixed-use design & build scheme for Liverpool-based developer Iliad. The 25-year Renaissance plan, forecast to attract around £2 billion worth of investment into Rotherham, is already achieving great success, with the first phase, ISG Totty’s £6.3 million Westgate mixed-use development, recently securing a coveted Housing Design Award.

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council has appointed Iliad to oversee the first major stage of the regeneration of the historic town centre. The developer's five sites will be collectively known as All Saints’ Quarter, and this latest phase involves ISG Totty constructing a five-storey concrete frame building, designed by architects Glenn Howells, next to the River Don.

The ground floor of the structure will be let as commercial/leisure space, which will include a large open terrace area overlooking the river. The remaining four floors will provide accommodation for 53 high-specification one- and two-bedroom apartments with balconies and underground car parking. Externally, the building features anodised rain screen cladding to its façade and a standing seam metal roof. The project is due to commence mid-September and is scheduled for completion by May 2009.
