Cummins Ltd - To launch uptime guarantee for Stage 3A Engines in Europe
Darlington, UK (Jan 29, 2007) – Cummins
announces that it is launching an Uptime Guarantee program for
engines certified to the EU Stage 3A emissions standards. This
program will provide assurance to the construction industry that
Cummins Stage 3A engines will not only meet, but will exceed
customer performance and reliability requirements.
Under the program, if a Cummins Stage 3A engine can't be
repaired within 48 hours from fault diagnosis, the customer will
receive a parts and service credit worth Eu 500. To qualify, an
engine must be registered with Cummins on line (www.cummins.com)
no later than six weeks after being placed into service.
It applies to Cummins QSB, QSC, QSL, QSM and QSX Stage 3A
engines placed in service in EU countries from May 1, 2007, to
April 30, 2008, with 12 months' coverage from the in-service
date or through April 30, 2008, whichever comes first.
"Uptime Guarantee programs have proved extremely successful for
Cummins in North America, and we are now adapting this for
Europe.” said Mr. Hugh Foden, Cummins Executive Director -
Engine Business. “Our Stage 3A engines are proven, tested and
highly reliable. We are launching this program to give our
customers the added confidence that they can rely on Cummins
support when purchasing equipment powered by our engines," he
added.
