The Joint Contracts Tribunal - New contract gets House of Commons launch

The JCT- Constructing Excellence Contract will be launched at an event in the House of Commons, hosted by the Rt Hon John Spellar MP, chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Construction Group, on Thursday March 1.
The aim of the new contract is to promote collaborative and integrated working, providing a single contract form to regulate all the relationships involved in a project. It makes the delivery of a project the joint mission of the entire project team.
Launched in collaboration with Constructing Excellence, the new contract will be unveiled at a presentation in the afternoon, which will be followed by a reception in the evening.
Sir Michael Latham will open the presentation by giving an industry overview and background to the new contract. He will be followed by Martin Howe and Giles Dixon, the principal authors, who will provide a briefing on the key elements of the new contract form.
Joanna Davis and Simon Pitchers will relay their experiences of collaborative working in the Vehicle & Operator Services Agency (VOSA). The presentation will be concluded with questions from the audience.
An evening reception will follow the afternoon presentation, with guests being invited from the construction industry generally, together with MPs and ministers.
