Ardex UK - Arditex NA takes the high street by storm!

The leading manufacturer of premium quality flooring systems, ARDEX UK once again teamed up with Hull Flooring to deliver a high performance flooring solution for a prestigious new store on behalf of one of the High Street’s most established names, BHS. The 2600m2 store in Llandudno required a flat, durable and smooth floor which would receive final floorcoverings at the earliest possible opportunity. Boasting a superb portfolio of successful retail installations, the proven partnership of ARDEX and Hull Flooring specified the perfect ARDEX System Solution for this new BHS outlet.
To commence, the floor surface was pre-smoothed with ARDEX's most advanced new low odour latex smoothing compound ARDITEX NA, which now complements the multi-award winning ARDITEX smoothing compound, and has set new standards in smoothing compound technology. A self-smoothing, protein free latex levelling compound, ARDITEX NA has been developed for use on virtually all substrates and it can be laid from a feather edge up to at least 12mm in a single application. In addition, thicknesses up to 30mm are possible when ARDEX Aggregate is incorporated into the mix. Offering excellent properties of adhesion and flexibility, ARDITEX NA is perfect for levelling concrete, cement/sand screeds, flooring grade asphalt, quarry tiles and even internal steel decks without priming. ARDITEX NA has been formulated to be ammonia free, making it perfect for use in sensitive environments, including hospitals, schools and other specialised buildings. With improved flow and excellent water resistant properties, exceptional results are assured.
To complete the project, the bespoke BHS vinyl sheet and vinyl tiles were installed with ARDEX AF 100 Pressure Sensitive Acrylic Flooring Adhesive. Benefits of ARDEX AF 100 include high yield, low odour and compatibility with under floor heating systems. Specifically designed for the UK flooring market, ARDEX AF 100 incorporates the latest floorcovering adhesive technology, and is increasingly recognised by architects, specifiers and contractors as the most advanced true pressure sensitive adhesive available in the UK.
