Robinson McIlwaine Architects in running for prestigious 2007 arts award

A partnership project between Robinson McIlwaine Architects and OAR has proved worthy of shortlist recognition in a prestigious national arts awards (Employees Awards Category) {a complete list & project summary can be found in notes to Eds} as Arts & Business, the national charity dedicated to creating sustainable partnerships between business and the arts, today announced the short list for its 29th Arts & Business Awards.
The Awards will, this year, pay tribute to a total of 45 collaborations all jostling for first prize in nine different categories. The short list was painstakingly whittled down to 45 partnerships from a total of 121 nominations from across the UK.
The ceremony will be held at the Hayward Gallery in London on 8th March 2007 after judges, some of the most important figures in UK business and arts, have made their selections.
Colin Tweedy, Chief Executive of Arts & Business, said, “This year’s entries were incredibly strong and have elicited great discussion amongst the judges from the business and arts world. The short lists are superb examples of how business and the arts can transform the world in which we operate.
Architectural businesses thinking of partnering with the arts need only look at these projects to see how the right partnership can provide enormous return on investment and many other mutual benefits for employees and the wider community.”
