SAS International - Enhanced acoustic lighting control

SAS International, the leading UK manufacturer of metal solutions, has enhanced its range of acoustic lighting rafts. SAS System 600, acoustic lighting rafts or modules are suspended directly from an open soffit or within coffers, providing a pre-fabricated lighting and acoustic solution for environments such as schools, offices and hospitals. Manufactured from metal, System 600’s durable finish provides a cost effective solution while reducing whole life costs.
Allowing free air movement to the exposed concrete slabs for sustainable natural mass cooling they offer an alternative to traditional suspended ceilings, offering design flexibility, whilst reducing capital and installation costs. SAS International can provide System 600 rafts in a range of curved, flat, angular or bespoke profile designs to suite any budget.
System 600 rafts and modules are an ideal acoustic and lighting solution for those considering using thermal mass cooling. Key to reducing reverberation times within spaces, a variety of acoustic treatments can be included within System 600 rafts, including perforations and acoustic pads.
Luminaries and up-lighters are some of the different intelligent lighting options available to create natural lighting effects. Integrating lighting and acoustic comfort in one unit reduces capital and installation cost. SAS System 600 solutions can also be configured to carry services such as cabling, PA, and fire detection and control systems. Apertures for luminaries and other services are formed during manufacturing, reducing onsite installation time.
