CEMBRIT BLUNN GALLOPS PAST THE WINNING POST!
 Cembrit Blunn, specialists in natural and fibre
cement roofing slates, has sponsored up and coming
jockey Liam Jones. In a 12 month deal, Cembrit Blunn
will be supporting the young jockey who now wears
breeches bearing the distinctive red Cembrit Blunn logo.
Fresh from wins at Lingfield race course on 28th
February and Wolverhampton on 29th February, Liam Jones
can now boast over 160 wins to his name. Liam,
originally from Liverpool, moved to Newmarket, the heart
of the racing industry, to pursue a career as a jockey.
With no family history of racing, Liam has excelled in
his chosen career and is proving himself a great new
talent.

as Cembrit Blunn wanted to help Liam to progress his
riding career, whilst increasing awareness of the
Cembrit Blunn brand” explains Ged Ferris, marketing

Using skills built up over 80 years, Cembrit Blunn
select natural slate from Spain, Canada, Brazil, China,
India and the countries of Western Europe. From UK
quarries Cembrit Blunn offer Welsh, Cornish and
Westmorland slates. Quality levels at Group factories
are rigorously maintained to high standards with fibre
cement slates produced to BS EN 492:2004 and
manufactured under the control of a BS EN ISO 9001: 2000
quality management system. Cembrit Blunn is a member of
the Dansk Eternit Holding A/S Group of Denmark, one of
Europe’s major building material producers of fibre
reinforced cement products for the roofing and cladding
industry. The ultimate parent company FL Smidth this
year celebrates its 125 year anniversary.
