Cistermiser - Upgraded Hydraulic Urinal Flush Control Valve From Cistermiser

Cistermiser’s well-known hydraulic automatic urinal flush control valves now offer improved features and aesthetics, whilst maintaining their market leading water saving capabilities. The valves are capable of controlling the flow of water to multiple urinal bowls with a variable water flow rate which can be controlled by the installer or user. This is accomplished by a simple Allen key adjustment which is now even easier than on the original model. Materials of construction have been changed to make the valves more compatible with ultimate recycling and they now have an improved appearance due to seated screw heads and less obtrusive labelling.
Compared with a standard automatic flushing system, hydraulic flush control valves from Cistermiser have been shown to reduce water consumption by up to 80% and, with a unique patented mechanism which requires no batteries or electrical connections, they are completely maintenance free. With a payback period of six months, including installation costs, Cistermiser’s hydraulic urinal flush control valves are also tax deductible, due to their inclusion on DEFRA’s Water Technologies list and qualification for Enhanced Capital Allowances. Consequently the valves show very significant lifetime cost savings.
Cistermiser hydraulic valves obviate the traditional, wasteful drip-feed which always fills the cistern irrespective of the level of demand. Installed on the supply pipe to the urinal cistern, they ensure that the auto-flush system is only used when the washroom is in use. The valve, allowing water into the cistern, is activated by short term pressure drop due to the use of taps or WC’s on the same supply system. When pressure on both sides of the valve is equal again, the valve closes, the cistern is full and the auto siphon will flush. The installer or the end user can adjust the time the valve remains open, how long the cistern takes to fill and, consequently, how much water is used.
When the washroom is not in use, the water pressure remains constant and the Cistermiser valve remains closed, preventing water passing into the cistern which, in turn, prevents flushing and saves water. For buildings with washroom facilities which may remain unused for long periods of time, a hygiene flush attachment is available which activates a regular flush every 24 hours to avoid washroom odours. The valves are available in three models, for mains water or tank-fed systems with head pressure from 0.5 to 5 metres.
