Purcell Miller Tritton focus on educational activity with new
Senior Architect
 Leading architect and historic
building consultant, Purcell Miller Tritton, has
announced the appointment of Matthew Hodgson as Senior
Architect to its London office, joining the team
responsible for the delivery of educational schemes
throughout the UK and Eire.
At Purcell Miller Tritton, Matthew will initially be
working on projects currently underway including the
British Museum, Leighton House and the Watts Gallery and
then will develop the educational sector, an area in
which the practice are keen to capitalise on their
experience.
Previously from Nightingale Associates, where he worked
as a Project Architect, he has extensive experience
within education due to his involvement in a wide range
of projects including West Herts College, Guildford
College and Bedford College.
Mark Goldspink, Chief Executive at Purcell Miller
Tritton, said, “We are delighted at Matthew’s
appointment as Senior Architect. He joins us at a time
when education is enjoying a renaissance with the
still-active Building Schools for the Future programme
very much in evidence, as well as the newly announced
£1.8 billion Learning and Skills Council framework.
Matthew brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to
an expanding and very exciting area of work for us at
PMT.”
Matthew will be working from PMT’s London office but
will have a nationwide brief to develop education, he
said, “This is such a fantastic opportunity for me. To
join a practice with such a good reputation is a real
honour and I look forward to an interesting and exciting
time ahead.”
