Gleeds to develop new operation in India
 Gleeds, the International Management
and Construction Consultancy, are to start operating in
Western India, opening a new office in Bangalore with
offices in Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad expected to
follow before the end of 2008.
With India offering such a strong commercial potential,
Gleeds are to provide Project Management, Cost
Management and Health and Safety services as well as
additional activities which include their own
Information Channel with related consultancy services
(introducing web based structural processes), Design
management, Cost re-engineering, On site project
management duties and on Site quality control.

"This is a fantastic development for the business. We
are reviewing Ports, Airports, Hospitals and Railway
Stations as potential opportunities. There is even the
need for world class cricket grounds in the region and
we have experience of delivering all these projects.
India is an economic powerhouse and we see tremendous
opportunities being available here."
He added, "We are very excited about the potential here
and as with all our overseas operations we are looking
at staffing with a mixture of UK and local consultants
all working under the Gleeds ethos and brand."
Gleeds will open their first office later this year with
40 staff operating from Bangalore; they expect to expand
into other cities in the following months.
