Ideal Standard International Reinforces Global Leadership Team

Gary Cleaver appointed as CFO and CAO
Kenneth Ng appointed as President, Asia/Pacific

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM - Ideal Standard International, a leading provider of innovative and design-driven bathroom solutions, is announcing two new additions to its global leadership team. Gary Cleaver is appointed as Chief Financial Officer / Chief Administrative Officer, and Kenneth Ng becomes president of the company’s Asia/Pacific region. These latest appointments reflect Ideal Standard International’s drive toward profitable growth through the execution of a focused plan and continued expansion in high potential markets.
As Global Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer, Gary Cleaver holds responsibility for global finance, tax, treasury, legal, IT and strategic planning. In this new role, Cleaver will oversee these strategic functions as the business implements its plans as a fully independent, privately-owned company.
Cleaver joins the company from PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP where he spent the last ten years as a partner in its Transaction Services practice, advising on M&A transactions. He has extensive financial and transaction experience in numerous industries and geographies and has practiced across Europe as well as the USA.
As President of Asia/Pacific, Kenneth Ng leads the region’s business in all aspects. His overriding objective is to accelerate the growth strategy in this high potential area of the world. He joins Ideal Standard International from Akzo Nobel/ICI Paints where he most recently held the role of Regional Head of Asia/Pacific. During his three years with ICI, he developed and executed a highly successful accelerated growth strategy in China. Prior to joining ICI, he worked in the US for IBM and Reckitt Benckiser and in Asia/Pacific for SC Johnson and Philips Electronics.

Ng has an extraordinary track record of growth in consumer goods in Asia/Pacific, across marketing, sales, distribution and manufacturing. He holds an MBA degree in Marketing and Finance from New York University and a BSc from NYU.
Cleaver and Ng both report directly to Ideal Standard International’s CEO, John Rietveldt. Cleaver is based in the company’s global headquarters located in Brussels, Belgium, and Ng is based in the company’s Asia/Pacific HQ located in Shanghai, China.
Commenting on the appointments, John Rietveldt said, “Both Ken and Gary bring a strong combination of senior financial, commercial and general management experience to their roles, in a variety of international markets. As Ideal Standard International continues to take solid strides forward, not only in terms of growth potential but also in design and innovation expertise, I am delighted to welcome them to the leadership team responsible for driving our global success."
