Ward Insulated Panels - Provides safe harbour for anchor point

 Ward insulated panels has supplied a
total insulated roofing system for Magellan’s latest
residential build in Sheffield. Anchor Point is a
popular city centre development of 188 contemporary
apartments within a gated community.
The roof of each apartment was fitted by Advanced
Roofing Ltd using 2000m² of Topdek with a Trocal
membrane. Topdek is a factory pre-engineered single fix
roofdeck which is suitable for flat, pitched or curved
roofs. It incorporates Wards’ FIREsafe insulation core
which is LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board)
certified and has zero ODP (ozone depletion potential).
Topdek has been designed to guarantee total insulation
continuity, and by assisting in creating a uniform
building envelope, Topdek has been proven to minimise
air leakage, reducing building energy costs and CO2
emissions.
Richard Clapp, operations director for Advanced Roofing

makes the whole project run smoothly.”
The luxury apartments at Anchor Point were snapped up by
homebuyers and the entire development is now fully
occupied. Mark Brookes, associate director of Magellan
Residential said: “Anchor Point is a contemporary
development comprising of one and two-bedroom
apartments, four-bedroom townhouses, and prestigious
headquarters for Arnold Laver. Each home is well planned
and reflects today’s appeal for ‘contemporary urban’
living.
“We had a big demand for the apartments at Anchor Point
and with such a high level of interest it important that
every aspect of the development ran smoothly and we
achieved in completing the project within the
deadlines.”
