MORE ICOPAL SYSTEMS ACHIEVE BBA APPROVAL
 Two
products from waterproofing systems manufacturer Icopal have become
the latest in a long list of the company’s specialist building
membranes to achieve BBA accreditation.
Icopal’s high-performance Parabit Hot Melt waterproofing system for
inverted, green and plaza deck roofs and Imperma SBS tanking
membrane have been awarded Agrément cer-tificates (08/4514 &
07/4486).
This latest recognition complements the award under a year ago of
BBA accreditation to a total of 14 Icopal systems including the
Profiles range, Tecnatorch and Total Torch ranges.
To achieve the latest BBA approval, the Parabit and Imperma systems
passed rigorous tests to assess quality, durability and installation
as well as compliance with Building Regulations and British,
European and international standards.
Parabit modified bitumen waterproofing is a reinforced self-healing
membrane that can also be used on roofing structures and access
roadways. With a much faster application time than cold-applied
systems, Parabit provides the specifier and contractor with a con-venient
and cost-effective waterproofing solution.
Imperma SBS is a torch-on bitumen tanking membrane suitable for
horizontal and vertical applications. Its strong, puncture-resistant
properties make it ideal for use in all types of waterproofing
applications.
