Carillion IT Services wins £1.1m managed service contract with international design firm BDP

Carillion IT Services today announced it has secured a £1.1 million contract to supply a fully managed network service to BDP, Europe's largest international interdisciplinary design practice of architects, engineers and designers.

Carillion IT Services will, under a three year agreement, manage BDP’s wide area network (WAN), including 24/7 remote monitoring, to securely link its eleven studios located across the UK and Ireland, including London, Glasgow, Dublin and its head office in Manchester.

The future proof, resilient network now in place will provide BDP with a platform capable of supporting existing critical systems, increased bandwidth and new technologies. It also guarantees continuous availability for over 1200 users, whilst eliminating the disruption and risks associated with network downtime, such as the loss of critical business continuity and incurred expense.

By the remote proactive monitoring of BDP’s WAN highly trained network experts from Carillion IT Services’ Network Operations Centre will also be able to intercept and manage any problems efficiently through to resolution, before users are even aware of any issues.
