Offers Innovative Solution to the Problem of Unsightly Manholes
At last there is an answer to the problem of unsightly manholes in
lawns! Turftops from Dovedale Innovations is an innovative manhole
cover mat made from simulated grass that instantly blends manholes
covers in to lawns.
Available in seven sizes in circular, square and rectangular shapes,
to cover all current manholes, Turftops blends into existing lawns,
instantly creating a more pleasing and attractive garden. It can
also be ordered in bespoke sizes and supplied on a standard 25
metres long roll.
The product is the brainchild of Charles Hancock, an award winning
RHS garden designer and landscaper, who came up with the Turftop
design to solve his clients’ problems how to cover manholes in their
gardens. Charles said:
“Time and time again customers were at a loss how to effectively and
attractively hide manholes in their gardens. As the Turftop is made
from realistic simulated grass it is a clever and practical solution
to the problem and has been tremendously well-received.”
The Turftop is simple to install and easy to use. It is attached
using exterior grade DuoTec locking tape that allows for easy access
and lawn maintenance. UV stabilized to prevent damage from sunlight,
Turftops are long lasting and offer a highly realistic simulated
grass appearance.
Charles continued:
“Through my landscaping business I found that people are spending
more and more time in their gardens, which are often treated as an
outside room, so it’s very important to them that their lawns and
borders look their best. The Turftop mat offers the perfect solution
to anyone wanting to disguise problem manholes covers.”
Turftops are oversized to account for any concrete edges around the
outside of a manhole cover. Two colour blades and straight and
curled tufts enhance their natural appearance and help them blend
seamlessly into lawns.
They will be available from all leading builder’s merchants and
independent garden centres, as well as online, priced from £24.95
for a 350mm x 350mm Turftop.
