JACKSON BUILD ON MEN’S HEALTH AT WORK

Building Centres is focusing its attention on National Men’s Health
Week this month in a bid to encourage its male customers to take
more care at work.
The week, held from 9th to 15th June, is organised by the Men’s
Health Forum to tackle male health issues and this year focuses
specifically on health in the workplace.
The theme follows evidence that a large proportion of men’s health
problems are caused at work by accidents, exposure to hazardous
substances and stress among other contributors.
Jackson Building Centres, one of the largest quality builders’
merchants in the East Midlands, is keen to support the campaign to
help increase its customers’ awareness of work-related health risks,
both physical and mental.
Colin Bartleet, Marketing Manager at Jackson Building Centres, said:
“We want to make sure our customers know just how important it is
for men to look after themselves at work and at home.
“In the building industry simple things such as lifting heavy
objects incorrectly can create health problems along with
overworking or not eating correctly.”
