Seville to play host to the International Hard Anodising
Association’s 12th Technical Symposium
The spectacular Hotel Alfonso XIII in Seville has been chosen as the
venue for the 12th Technical Symposium of the International Hard
Anodising Association (IHAA) (www.ihanodizing.com).
The event which will be held on the 7th, 8th and 9th September 2008
brings together companies engaged in the production of hard anodised
(hard coat) finishes on aluminium and their suppliers, and those who
have a common interest in advancing the properties of Hard
Anodising. The President of the IHAA is John Alksnitis of Aluminium
Surface Engineering of Coventry UK.
The Symposium in Seville provides the perfect platform for industry
partners to work with each other, to help Universities improve the
anodising process, and to inform and educate the Industry in the
benefits of Hard Anodising. It will also be of particular interest
to processors and users of Aluminium, as well as Designers and
Academicsetc, working in the field.
The 3 day event commences with a Welcome Reception and Dinner on
Sunday evening. There then follows an Opening Symposium with
Presentations and Lunch on Monday, and further Presentations, Lunch
and Closing Remarks on Tuesday. There will also be an IHAA
Membership Meeting to be held on Tuesday morning at 9am for IHAA
members only.
The Symposium registration fee for non-members is €600 (or $900) for
one participant for two days. This includes the cost for the welcome
reception and dinner, lunches and drinks during the Symposium on
both days and a copy of The Symposium Book, including all
presentations.
The Symposium will cover all aspects of Hard Anodising and Anodic
Films including Metallurgical Developments in Aluminium. A dozen or
so key industry figures have been invited to speak during the course
of the event. Those confirmed include Dr. Ir I. Aparchitei of the
Delft University of Technology, Vladimir Sinyavskiy of the
All-Russia Institute of Light Alloys Russia and Dr. Laurent Arurault
of UBS France.
The IHAA have negotiated specially discounted room rates at the
world famous Alfonso XIII 5 star hotel which will offer Deluxe Queen
Single rooms and Deluxe Double rooms at €175 (+7% VAT) and €235 (+7%
VAT) respectively. Breakfast is included in these special rates.
