EGGER UK - Strengthens UK construction support team

and groove flooring giant EGGER UK has strengthened its marketing
team with the appointment of two key members and aims to deliver an
even better level of service to the construction industry.
Category marketing specialist Kathryn Burton has taken on the role
of marketing coordinator for the construction sector, while Danielle
Metcalf becomes the company’s first dedicated samples administrator.
Both are based at EGGER UK’s newly revamped site in Hexham,
Northumberland.
A BA honours fashion marketing graduate, Kathryn has worked for five
years as a category manager with Jackel International, the company
best known for Tommee Tippee specialist baby products. While there
she managed both UK and Irish markets.
Kathryn said: “I’ve joined EGGER UK at a very exciting time, with
the recent completion of a £110 million revamp of the company’s site
in Hexham.
“Having the most advanced production facilities in Europe, EGGER is
now more effective and efficient than ever before and excellently
placed to fulfil the growing demand for wood based panels.”
EGGER plays a significant role in the construction market, supplying
key products such as Weyroc tongue and groove flooring and Weyroc
Protect, a BBA approved flooring board that can withstand 42 days
exposure to wet weather.
Kathryn said: “Our products continue to set the standard in the
industry. For instance, our ‘no-nails’ Rapid Deck floor laying
system combines Weyroc Protect and specially formulated Weyroc D4
adhesive to facilitate faster on-site installation of flooring and
reduced costs.”
With increasing numbers of products and decors becoming available,
the demand for EGGER samples has grown significantly in the past
year and Danielle Metcalf has joined the company to ensure the
service continues to be fast and efficient.
The newly-appointed samples administrator said: “We offer a sample
service on all our products but a significant number of requests
come from house builders, merchants and renovation companies who are
interested in using Weyroc and industrial flooring boards.“
Most requests are made via a special link on the company’s web site
at www.egger.co.uk but there is also a telephone hotline on 01434
613304. Those made before 2.30pm can usually be delivered within 24
to 48 hours.
Marketing manager Nick McClughin, who heads up a nine-strong team,
said: “Both Kathryn and Danielle will play crucial roles in
marketing EGGER products and supporting our sales teams.
“In particular, the creation of the post of samples administrator
reflects the huge interest we receive in our products and recognises
the importance we place on having a fast and efficient service for
customers and clients often working to very tight deadlines.“
