The Heat Project Offers Green Solution to Utility Company Price

 The
heavily publicised reports of increased energy costs whilst utility
companies such as British Gas enjoy record profits has left a bitter
taste in the mouths of many householder’s in the UK. In response to
the sudden increase in rates for fuel, green companies are urging
households to take urgent action to improve the energy efficiency of
their properties in order to reduce the impact of the price hikes
and the carbon footprint of the household.
Established grant assisted and free loft and cavity wall insulation
supplier, the Heat Project, has responded to the news of the
increased energy costs by launching a mailing campaign to target
over 5 million properties throughout the UK over the next 12 weeks.
Following the success of the introduction of a new over 70s category
under the government’s Carbon Emissions Reduction Target (CERT),
permitting all households that are owned or privately rented with a
permanent resident aged over 70 to free loft or cavity wall
insulation, the Heat Project anticipates the 5 million spring
mailing will help educate not only the over 70s but all households
to the green solution to increased energy costs through reducing
energy consumption by installing loft and cavity wall insulation.
Alarming reports of growing numbers of households falling into the
fuel poverty category following increased energy costs have spurred
the Heat Project to contact such households to alert them to the
free insulation available through their scheme. With potential
savings of over £250 on the annual fuel bill, loft and cavity wall
insulation can reduce up to a third of wasted energy that can escape
through unsuitably insulated lofts and cavity walls, saving up to 3
tonnes in carbon emissions per household. Such savings not only make
financial sense, but also alleviate the green conscience by reducing
human impact on climate change through the reduction of carbon
emissions.
The Heat Project has been providing free and grant assisted loft and
cavity wall insulation to households throughout the UK since 1997.
All households that are owned or privately rented are eligible for
the insulation, with those over 70 or in receipt of income or
disability related benefits qualifying for free insulation.
