ISG Jackson - Goes shopping again in Great Yarmouth

ISG Jackson Special Projects has secured a circa £300K project with Miller Developments Ltd to revitalise the popular Victoria Arcade shopping area in Great Yarmouth. Sister company, ISG Jackson is currently working in the town centre on the high profile £7.8 million extension to the Market Gates Shopping Centre, also for Miller Developments Ltd.
Work to upgrade Victoria Arcade, which is a principal tourist attraction in the town centre, will see the contractor improve the entrances to the building, installing fully glazed units with feature lighting. Restoration work will be carried out on the impressive glazed roof and ISG Jackson Special Projects will install new shop signage throughout the arcade. General decorative works will also be undertaken, with the project due to commence early in the New Year and scheduled for completion in May 2008.
Stuart Talbot, divisional director for ISG Jackson Special Projects, commented: "Victoria Arcade is a bustling retail centre and we have carefully phased the project, and will be carrying out some out of hours working, to ensure that we minimise any potential disruption for both traders and members of the public. Key investment in Great Yarmouth’s retail provision will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the town as both a shopping and tourist destination and we are delighted to be playing such a key role in this ongoing regeneration project.”
