S and P Coil Products Ltd - SPC Heat Pipes For Heat Recovery
Industrial processes are huge consumers of energy. Much of that
energy escapes with waste gases and liquids.
 S & P Coil Products Limited’s (SPC) patented heat pipes can recover and recycle that
heat without fear of contamination from the waste product itself.
What's more, a heat pipe can be treated to withstand corrosive
environments with minimal loss of effectiveness. Typical
environments include swimming pools, HVAC, drying processes,
paint-spray booths, laundries, kitchens etc.
SPC’s patented heat pipes automatically remove heat and transfer it.
The effectiveness of this process can be as high as 75%, yet there
are negligible running costs and the set-up costs are minimal.
Replacing lost heat energy is often done at considerable cost. Heat
pipe heat recovery modules from SPC are a cost effective method of
maintaining indoor air quality while reducing heating loads. The
heat pipe is a passive device which only requires a temperature
gradient in order to function and so has no significant running
costs. SPC’s heat pipes remove heat and automatically transfer it.
By automatically absorbing thermal energy from the outgoing air
stream, warming the cold air before it enters, it provides capital
savings which can more than offset the cost of adding heat pipes to
the design. The heat pipe provides a free heat to the incoming air,
providing capital savings and cutting energy costs.
Maintenance is minimal. Other benefits include minimum installation
and start up costs when compared to alternative methods currently in
use. Heat pipes have no moving parts. They are highly effective.
There is low air-pressure drop. They allow easy drainage of
condensation. There is no direct energy requirement. They are
totally passive and have zero cross contamination. They have low
air-resistance for minimal pressure drop, they are long-lasting and
environmentally safe.
