Zip Heaters (UK) Ltd, the world leader for instant boiling water, has extended its HydroTap range with the launch of the Zip HydroTap 4-in-1 and 3-in-1.

The Zip HydroTap 4-in-1 can supply instant boiling, chilled, hot and cold water from a single source, simplifying the provision of water in the workplace while simultaneously boosting energy efficiency.

One compact under-sink system supplies not only filtered instant boiling and chilled water to the Zip HydroTap but also hot and cold water to the Zip Mixer Tap. A specially designed venturi device on the under-sink unit blends mains cold water with the stored boiling water to produce hot water at around 50ºC. By blending water in this way, energy is conserved by eliminating heat loss from either a separate water heater or through potentially long pipe runs from a central source.

In a similar way the Zip HydroTap 3-in-1 offers instant boiling, hot and cold water from a single source, delivering similar energy savings.

Zip HydroTaps 4-in-1 and 3-in-1 are typically designed for use in workplace kitchens where a dishwasher is the primary means of washing dishes. Where used instead of a local point of use water heater they are quicker and easier to install as well as taking up less cupboard space. In such situations they also produce tangible running cost savings as standing heat losses from the separate point of use water heater are totally eliminated.

Zip HydroTap is the world’s most advanced instant filtered boiling and chilled water system. It is simpler, faster and more convenient to use than any kettle, with a press of the red lever delivering instant boiling water and blue for chilled. Levers can be ‘locked on’ for hands-free measured water delivery, while there is also a safety lock if required.

Furthermore, Zip’s exclusive Power-PulseTM energy-saving electronic technology minimises operating costs by applying full power to heat boiling water only during periods of heavy use. During periods of light usage or when unused it cuts back to micro-pulse power allowing power consumption to be reduced whilst maintaining boiling water temperature more precisely than ever before.

Zip HydroTap 4-in-1 and 3-in-1 are both available in two capacities; with boiling water recovery rates of 150 cups per hour (suitable for large offices) and 100 cups per hour (suitable for medium sized offices). Chilled water capacities for the Zip HydroTap 4-in-1 are 175 or 125 glasses per hour respectively. Both systems come complete with sleep and timer modes for optimum operational efficiency.

Further additions to the Zip Commercial HydroTap range have been announced to coincide with the launch of the 4-in-1 and 3-in-1 systems. A smaller boiling and chilled HydroTap, which can cater for up to 10 users has been introduced, as has a boiling only HydroTap for up to 50 users. Both of these models incorporate the integral 24-hour, 7 day timer and inactivity sleep mode that comes as standard across the entire Zip HydroTap commercial range.
