Icel Group, part of the Ecovert Group, has completed a new flexi-lab for a major pharmaceutical company based in the south of England.

The fully operational 2,500m2 flexi-lab is fitted out with enough services to provide for either a laboratory, a write up area or a mix of both, for up to 120 persons. The modular plug-and-play utility connections along with the re-locatable partitions and furniture, enable scientists to arrange the space as they wish.

The 35-strong Icel Group team installed the electrical services, which comprised of general power and lighting, fire detection, voice and data, BMS and security and access control over a six month period.

The result is a space that is more easily adaptable to changing technologies and new users, with reduced lifecycle costs traditionally associated with this type of facility.
