Ibstock has been presented with the highly coveted ‘Ceramics in Industry Award’ at the recent British Ceramics Awards, which took place in October as part of the British Ceramics Biennial in Stoke-on-Trent.

The awards promote and celebrate innovation in contemporary British ceramics, focusing on creativity and achievement across the industry.

Ibstock was awarded with the top honour for the technological innovation and creativity of its CoolVault and Elementix Express product ranges.

Andrew Halstead-Smith, marketing manager at Ibstock, commented: “It’s a great accomplishment to be presented with such a prestigious award which recognises the achievements we have made in both innovation and creativity, two areas which we pride ourselves on.”

Designed to be placed between concrete or timber beams, Ibstock’s CoolVault offers excellent acoustic insulation and thermal mass, making it particularly efficient at maintaining a comfortable interior environment in both residential and commercial lightweight structures.

Ibstock’s Elementix range of rainscreen cladding has been designed to give specifiers and architects complete design flexibility when it comes to creating inspirational buildings.

Ibstock was awarded the prize alongside joint winners Royal Crown Derby Porcelain Company.
