Vuba Industrial Supplies has worked closely with Foster Refrigerator, the UK market leader in the manufacture of commercial refrigeration solutions, to specify an industrial flooring solution to their 140,000 sq ft manufacturing facility. Vuba was approached to provide a high performance industrial floor coating for their factory after many years of problems with single part floor paints.

Vuba proposed the use of a high build epoxy floor coating, Vuba-Strong Coat. A test area was applied in comparison to several other products and the results were extremely favourable. After this a larger test area was installed for the arrival of the Group CEO, and was again well received. These successes lead to the specification of the floor coating throughout the factory.

Vuba-Strong Coat is a two part epoxy resin floor coating, specified as a FeRFA Type 3 coating. This product has been designed to provide a floor coating solution for even the heaviest of industrial environments; a very important consideration for Foster Refrigerator. Vuba’s wide range of concrete repair mortars has also been specified on the project, to repair everything for minor undulations to large pot holes and cracks. It was the suite of available products, impressive back catalogue of work and unrivalled warranty period that impressed Dean Rawnsley, Facilities Manager, enough to specify the Vuba Range. And he seems content with the way things are going, “So far so good. We have had two phases of work completed and are ready to embark on the third. The first phase area is still performing well and is showing no signs of lifting or de-bonding. We’re very happy with it.”
