• The worldwide leader of quartz, natural stone and recycled worksurfaces, Cosentino, has launched an ambitious project to transform its warehouses in Spain and Europe into the new fully-integrated service: The Cosentino Centre.

• With an investment of nearly €43 million since 2007, nine of Cosentino’s 34 European buildings have been adapted for this new scheme.

• Cosentino expects that nine other warehouses across Spain and Europe will be Cosentino Centres by 2010 (Seville, San Sebastián, Toledo, A Coruña, Zaragoza, Brussels, Paris, Oporto and the Algarve).

• The introduction of this pioneering program will allow the Cosentino Group to widen its presence in Europe. 2010 will see the multinational Almerian company open three new Cosentino Centres in Europe.

Since 2007, the worldwide leader of quartz, natural stone and recycled worksurfaces, Cosentino has been implementing an ambitious plan to transform its warehouses into Cosentino Centres, which will offer a comprehensive service for its customers in the architecture, design and stone industry.

With an investment of nearly €43 million, the Cosentino Centre project is a response to the Almerian company’s plans to gradually transform its logistics buildings into new platforms for an all-inclusive service. The Cosentino Centre will offer an excellent, high quality service, incorporating a showroom, storage facilities, offices and a training room, which can be visited by architects, interior designers, fabricators and kitchen and bathroom studios.

To date, this pioneering project has been fully established in nine of Cosentino’s 34 current European facilities. In Spain, Cosentino’s warehouses in Barcelona, Valencia, Vigo, Gerona, Mérida, Castellón, and Almería have now been renovated, whilst Europe saw the renovation of the Zurich and Munich Centres in 2009. 2010 will see the project continue in Seville, San Sebastián, Toledo, A Coruña and Zaragoza, as well as the European Centres in Brussels, Paris, Oporto and the Algarve.

The introduction of this ambitious program will also see the Cosentino Group widen its presence in Europe. The company will open its second French Centre, in Lyon, during the first few months of 2010, and will also establish itself in two new countries with the Dublin Centre in Ireland and the Vienna Centre in Austria. By 2010 Cosentino will have 37 Centres in Europe, as well as 12 existing Centres in the United States, along with those in Mexico and Brazil.

All of the Cosentino’s Centres are implementing the new ethos including a continuous program for training, where experts from the company are giving talks on the latest trends in architecture and design. The sessions are tailored to suit the audience; architects, interior designers, marble and stone fabricators and kitchen and bathroom studios.
