OSRAM has introduced an updated LED product range for signage and
illuminated advertising. Highly efficient solutions for light boxes
and channel letters, including the new IP-protected LINEARlight Flex
Protect, offer customers flexible and high performance solutions to
meet their demands.
All OSRAM’s new LED systems for illuminated advertising provide
significantly improved efficiency. In addition, very flat structures
can be homogeneously back-lit thanks to the compact dimensions of
some of the solutions. With sturdy enclosures, including the LED
surface covering and IP66 protection as a minimum, the modules are
long-lasting and more resistant to the elements.
Two Categories in New Product Range
To illuminate light boxes or city light posters there are two
solutions – BoxLED Back for back-lighting and BoxLED Side for
lateral lighting. They impress with their superior system efficiency
and are ideal replacements where fluorescent tubes are currently
used. These systems are suitable for backlighting areas from 0.25
square metres upwards and an installation depth of 60mm plus.
In the backlighting category the BackLED product line replaces the
existing BACKlight products. These solutions are available in three
power levels for varying depths of signage letters: small, medium
and large. The robust LED chains are characterised by their superior
efficiency and durability which makes them exceptionally economical.
The robust, high-performance LINEARlight Flex Protect LED module is
ideal for illuminated slimline displays. Featuring high performance
LEDs, each module is protected from dust and moisture thanks to its
IP 67 rating.
To ensure that the new BoxLED and BackLED product ranges operate to
their maximum efficiency, OSRAM is introducing a new family of
OPTOTRONIC® control gear to compliment the new products.
