Distinctive Pearlazzo PUR is the latest homogeneous product to be
launched by leading commercial vinyl floorcoverings manufacturer
Polyflor.
Designed for the modern commercial environment, Pearlazzo PUR
delivers the inherent low maintenance and durability benefits
expected of a Polyflor homogeneous PUR product while pushing the
boundaries of vinyl flooring decoration.
The striking 24-shade colour palette, a combination of vibrant and
neutral shades, has been achieved by blending tonal chips and
pearlescent flakes fused into a solid base colour for a unique
decorative option.
Beneath the bold colours and modern design, hardwearing Pearlazzo
PUR achieves the highest wear rating - Group T - and features
Polyflor’s unique polyurethane reinforcement which is cross-linked
and UV cured for optimum strength.
This PUR reinforcement, combined with a superior closed surface
finish, facilitates a low cost, lifetime polish-free maintenance
regime, achieving savings of up to 48% compared with standard vinyl
flooring. The PUR significantly reduces chemical usage and water
usage is reduced by up to 55% compared to traditional maintenance
procedures.
“There is no other homogeneous vinyl flooring covering like it in
the market,” comments Simon James, Polyflor’s marketing manager.
“The decoration is unique and the range of colours opens up a whole
new world of design options. We wanted to develop a product that
brought a new aesthetic angle to smooth vinyl flooring while still
delivering first-class performance”.
Pearlazzo PUR can be welded at the seams and to coved skirtings to
create continuous, impermeable surfaces that offer no sanctuary to
dirt and bacteria. Independent test results demonstrate that the
product construction inhibits the growth of MRSA on the flooring. An
effective cleaning regime is, however, the most important defence
against infection.
Within the new BRE Global rating scheme homogeneous vinyl flooring
achieves a generic Global A+ rating for contract applications and
Pearlazzo PUR is 100% recyclable and contains 25% recycled material.
Pearlazzo PUR meets the performance requirements of EN 649 and,
fully tested to fire safety standard EN 13501-1, is certified as
class Bfl-S1, achieving the criteria EN ISO 9239-1≥8kw/m² and the
mandatory requirement of EN ISO 11925-2 pass.
