ELLIOTT OFF-SITE BUILDING SOLUTIONS Invests In Eco-Cabin
Elliott Off-Site Building Solutions is helping customers reduce
their carbon footprint in innovative new ways, by taking delivery of
several Eco-Cabins from sister company Elliott Hire.
The Eco-Future range of portable buildings has been specially
developed to help users reduce energy consumption and benefit from
lower energy costs. Eco-Cabin is now being used on all Elliott
Off-Site Building Solutions’ developments.
Elliott Off-Site Building Solutions specialises in high quality
design and build construction, and is clearly focused on meeting the
needs of Health, Education and Public Sector customers. The company
is committed to innovation, sustainability and utilising modern
methods of construction (MMC) to deliver value for money solutions.
The new Eco-Cabin range achieves an Energy Performance Rating of B.
This includes an improved thermal envelope, more energy efficient
doors and windows, along with improvements to lighting, heating and
water systems.
Compared to a standard anti-vandal portable cabin, the Eco-Cabin
range now used by Elliott Off-Site Building Solutions offers
potential energy savings of up to 74 per cent. This equates to
around 2,380Kg of CO2 pa based on 50 per cent occupancy, compared
with a standard AV unit. It also provides significant savings in
water use.
Elliott Off-Site Building Solutions acts as concept designer and
principal contractor during construction phase and therefore
requires high quality, robust accommodation on site.
“Our customers expect us to minimise a development’s carbon
footprint wherever possible and the new Eco-Cabin does just that,”
said David Jupp, Business Development Manager at Elliott Off-Site
Building Solutions. “We specialise in helping customers achieve the
highest environmental ratings, including BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and
carbon neutrality – and the sustainability of the development during
the construction phase is an area that is often overlooked - and the
reason why we now use Eco-Cabin on all our developments.”
Elliott Off-Site Building Solutions specified an eye-catching
exterior from Elliott Hire, to differentiate it from standard
cabins. This was done using Elliott Hire’s vinyl wrap service, which
portraying images of recently completed off-site projects.
