Domestic and commercial bathroom equipment company Intatec is
supplying Staffordshire hotel the Dog & Doublet with a range of
anti-scald bath and shower products which help save energy, as well
a new range of equipment to make bathrooms flexible and accessible
for guests with disabilities or limited mobility.
For washrooms in public areas Intatec will supply its Perfect Time
range of taps, which allows water to flow for a fixed time when they
are operated. This prevents them being left running unattended,
helping to prevent wash basins flooding. Washrooms incorporate
thermostatic mixing valves which ensure the hot water dispensed is
always at a safe and consistent temperature, helping to prevent
scalding as well as offering a comfortable temperature.
For guest room bathrooms, the Dog & Doublet has chosen Inta Mio, a
range of safe touch showers and bath shower mixers in contrasting
high quality chrome and black, making a bold statement whilst
offering a consistent and safe hot water temperature. The bar type
valve has a safe touch body, which means unlike traditional valves,
no part of it becomes hot during use.
Chris Lewis, managing partner at The Lewis Partnership, said: “Our
first thought when designing a bathroom is the overall aesthetic we
will be able to achieve and the experience it offers our guests, so
it goes without saying that the products we install need to help
create the very high-end finish. I would also rather invest in a
product which is high-quality and low maintenance, as I have found
over the years that specifying carefully helps reduce total
lifecycle costs.”
The Dog & Doublet will be the first hotel in the country to install
Intatec’s new IntaQuick – a revolutionary new system which
transforms an ordinary bathroom into an accessible one and back
again in a few simple steps. IntaQuick is a stylish, high quality
collection of removable hand rails, seats and accessories that pack
away when not needed, so a bathroom can be accessible when necessary
and not create an extra obstacle for the able bodied to encounter
when it is not.
Graham Hughes from Intatec said: “Most businesses are now aware of
the need to provide accessible bathroom facilities. However, until
now they’ve needed a permanent standard Doc M solution. IntaQuick
means that in just a few clicks a bathroom can be transformed.
“When used in a commercial setting such as a hotel, the system, in
combination with compliant circulation spaces and door widths, will
make any room easily convertible to being accessible. This
alleviates the need for the hotel to set aside special rooms which
may not have economical or environmentally sound levels of
occupancy.”
