To eliminate electrostatic discharge, Sound Craft Limited in Potters
Bar has had 500m² of Polyflor SD installed in its factory by Pelican
Flooring of London.
Part of the Harman Pro Group, Soundcraft designs and manufactures
professional mixing consoles designed for use in live sound,
recording, post-production, TV and radio production and disco
applications.
Polyflor SD is a specially designed, static dissipative vinyl
floorcovering perfect for use in electronics manufacturing.
“The factory is the heart of our operation and we needed a floor
that facilitates the safe manufacturing of our products,” explained
Sound Craft’s Richard Wooding. “Along with the static control the
floor provides, it is attractive and easy to maintain.”
Polyflor’s ESD static dissipative range comprises Polyflor SD,
Polyflor Finesse SD and Polyflor 2000 SD. Available in sheet and
tile, all three products are also ideally suited for use in
telecommunications installations, computer rooms, scanner rooms,
X-ray suites and operating theatres.
